Finn named WVPB news director
Former Charleston Gazette reporter Scott Finn has been named the news and public affairs director for West Virginia Public Broadcasting.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Former Charleston Gazette reporter Scott Finn has been named the news and public affairs director for West Virginia Public Broadcasting.

Finn began working as a reporter/producer for WVPB in January 2007, covering state government and politics.

Previously, he worked for the Gazette covering politics, government and business. He won several national journalism awards during his time at the Gazette.

Before that, the Iowa native founded a family literacy program called Appalread in Logan and spent two years as a VISTA volunteer in Big Ugly.

Any chance he can drop the shitty classical music and play "Talk Of The Nation" so I can listen on my way to work?

The Ohio U PR completely owns WV PR. It's night and day.

"Big Ugly" is a vast understatement, don't you think? (And, the operative word here is "vast." :lol: )

Not sure I follow you, here. Do you mean that (1) you don't like classical music or (2) you don't like the classical music presented on the stations?
