While I've been a big fan of posting links about them...
...I've never actually used a USB Turntable. Has one here plunked down the dough? If so, what were your impressions? Did it work as promised? Did it turn your vinyl into a heaping, melted mess?
Thanks,
Lester

I have the Numark usb turntable. It does a great job transferring vinyl to the pc. The cartridge and stylus are nothing special, I replaced mine with a audio tecnica cart/stylus.

What's the sampling rate? WAV or MP3? Since I've still got ye old Technics SL-1200, I connect audio to the sound card and digitize there.
Aircheck? You'd make a great board op.

I might have to spring for the preamp with USB.

wav, the numark comes with audacity software, which btw is available for free anyway, but i use adobe audition. the tuntable also has a line output for easy connection to a mixer or aux/line in jacks on your reciever. I also use a technics knockoff (Gemini XL-500II) that i connect to my mixer, and run through the soundcard.Dave Loudin wrote:What's the sampling rate? WAV or MP3?
