If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Aircheck? You'd make a great board op.

Who cares if the ink is dry? The important part is if the transfer has taken place and the buyer has paid the seller!:)

It has been a fleeting dream of mine to own a small town radio station. This message board allowed me to be aware of your interest in selling, and I spent several days researching the Grafton area and mulling over the thought of making an offer. We almost made a weekend trip to visit. Wifey and I talked about it and decided we weren't in the financial position to do this now, and we had secondary issues with trying to sell our house in a poor local housing economy, moving our kids that were already established and happy in the local school system, and dealing with elderly relatives who live nearby and depend on us to help them out. In the end, I was both happy and sad that you found a buyer, if that makes any sense.

Congratulations on your sale!

Thank you. I really think if the economy had not crashed JUST as we got the upgrade, we would have been able to make another run for it... but as Interpreter said following you post, "some things are meant or not meant to be" (paraphrased).

We are paid enough to pay off the debt, and that's about it, but I, for one, will have my sanity back. Oh, I know, that's assuming I ever had any sanity!!

At least with it as another Christian not for profit station, there won't be that itty bitty bit of competition for the rest of the stations around here who are trying to make a living... things are tough enough these days.

As Ernest Aimsley says - just put your name on the back of a $20 bill and mail it to... (that always used to crack me up!)

Maybe I'll pop in every once in a while after it's all said and done and ask the rest of youse guys how life on the other side of the mic is... :) You might even talk me into writing and/or editing some copy and commercials. I got really good at that. It was my favorite part... probably because it was the closest thing to teaching English! LOL

Well... you know what they say... a nickle there and a dime there, (and in this case a $20 here or there) soon add up! :)

Since Arp STILL is in the Witness Protection Program, at least we'll have MTocco to give our posts a gentle nudge toward correctness...that is, everyone's but mine.

What's worse: the fact that he has a plane like this, or the appearant multitude of suckers that sent him $20?

Not in the area to receive it - what format is running on it now that the Timeless format has ended?

Well. It's done. The papers are signed. The ink IS dry. WVUS is past tense, at least, for me. When I come to the area in the future, it will see my grand kids, and family. I've enjoyed posting and discussing with you. I wish you all very well, and again, maybe I will pop in here every once in a while just to say hello. As Spock would say, "Live long and prosper."

For those curious, other than me, WVUS was running some form of ultra low budget talk programming when traveling on I-79 yesterday. Possibly religious. Some woman rambled for about 20 minutes on the state of marriage with no commercial break until the signal faded out north of Motown. What a waste of a decent signal.
