Barack Obama's nominee for "regulatory czar" has advocated a "Fairness Doctrine" for the Internet that would require opposing opinions be linked and also has suggested angry e-mails should be prevented from being sent by technology that would require a 24-hour cooling off period.

But the government listening in on your phone calls without a warrant doesn't bother you a bit.
Or being able to read your e-mail without a warrant.
That already happens. No matter what one Congress person wants, the Fairness Doctrine isn't coming back. I'd trade it for more privacy though.
