think the Government doesn't want the Fairness Doctrine?

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Allow me to assist you by translating this pdf from Bullcrap: Diversity = Fairness Doctrine under a different name

Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) wants to extend the Doctrine to other electronic media.
Eshoo reportedly wants the regulation to apply not only to radio and television, but also to cable and satellite TV.

And this little gem about including the internet in the doctrine!

http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=P ... geId=96301
Barack Obama's nominee for "regulatory czar" has advocated a "Fairness Doctrine" for the Internet that would require opposing opinions be linked and also has suggested angry e-mails should be prevented from being sent by technology that would require a 24-hour cooling off period.

To the left, "diversity" means conformity. With them.

But the government listening in on your phone calls without a warrant doesn't bother you a bit.
Or being able to read your e-mail without a warrant.
That already happens. No matter what one Congress person wants, the Fairness Doctrine isn't coming back. I'd trade it for more privacy though.
