The weekend new anchor who started his new job by swearing live on air with his first words has been let go today by his news station in North Dakota.
KFYR news anchor A.J. Clemente opened up on air by saying ‘F****** s***’ into his live microphone, leaving his co-anchor dumbfounded.
Sadly though for Clemente, KFYRTV fired him today after less than 24-hours in the job and Clemente took to Twitter to say, 'Unfortunately KFYRTV has decided to let me go. Thank you to them and everyone in ND for the opportunity and everyone for the support.'

You can graduate AND GET A JOB with such casual, lazy, sloppy, loose diction? Jimminy....

Back on topic. I watched his interview on Today and I believe he has handled this very well. He seems like a class act and had noting but positive things to say about his (very brief) employer.
He will surface again... just not live television. I could see this guy getting a hosting gig or something.

Why they didn't have this young man get field-reporting experience first is something that still baffles me. Certainly not unprecedented...WDTV back in the day was a revolving door of such newbies, usually just brought into the studio under the most-possible pressure. They don't have field reporters that couldn't step in for a while during the young man's grooming process? As stated earlier, a lot of blame to go around.

I think I have heard that exact phrase before during my short psychology career. Yes, I'm sure I have heard that exact phrase...a lapse of focus perhaps...oh woe...what's that sound? What is that hissing sound? Uh oh...it's the sound of the toilet tank refilling after flushing a career! That was brutal...made me cringe...poor guy...
