My friends Debbie Novak and John Witek won for their documentary 'Steven Caras: See Them Dance'. The documentary (presented by Arizona PBS) is the inspiring story of Mr. Caras, a former New York City Ballet dancer, who transformed his career to become one of the world’s most famous dance photographers.

Also recognized from Witek & Novak, Inc. were Eric Himes (film editor), Jay Flippen (original score) and Carol DelGrosso (graphics).

This docmentary previously won the Grand Remi Award for Best of Show at the 45th Annual Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival.
Worldfest-Houston is one of the oldest international film festivals in existence. “See Them Dance” was one of more than 4,500 festival entrants received from 22 countries.

Debbie and John have made many documentaries, including 'Ashes to Glory' (about the Marshall plane crash), 'Hearts of Glass' (about Blenko Glass) and 'Cam Henderson: A Coach's Story' (about the legendary Marshall football and basketball coach).

Their latest work was made available to the PBS System by Arizona PBS in May of this year. No word if/when WV PBS is going to show it.
