Re: Nascar NNS Chicago
The best part about NASCAR having issues filling seats at races is that they have actually gone back and implemented rules to make competition on the track much more interesting. This year has been one of the best since the mid 1990's. The only problem is the tracks that have been put on the schedule are not conducsive to the type of competition that made NASCAR a popular sport.
Now if they can do something about the tracks on the schedule and get Rockingham and North Wilkesboro back then I might actually become a real NASCAR fan again.

I concur. Bring back the small tracks that made the sport what it once was. The speedways are too cookie-cutter. If you have seen one cookie-cutter race, you've seen them all.cgarison wrote:Now if they can do something about the tracks on the schedule and get Rockingham and North Wilkesboro back then I might actually become a real NASCAR fan again.

Just like many other 'sports', fans can't afford the seat and it's easier to get drunk and watch on TV from home. Cheap beer, cheap seat, why go?

Nascar cup series Indy Lots of empty seats.
Even shaded seats empty.
New business plan needed.
Maybe Bray will return to save the day.
