CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A man who shot an AK-47 rifle 19 times at a gas station near the state Capitol pleaded guilty in court Monday.
Justin Tyler Robbins, 19, of Charleston told Kanawha Circuit Judge Tod Kaufman that a threat on his life precipitated the shooting. No one was injured in that incident last August.
"My life was threatened and I allegedly fired a rifle at the ground 19 times," Robbins told the judge.
"What do you mean alleged?" asked Kaufman. "Did you do it?"
"Yes, your honor," Robbins said.
Police said Robbins got into an argument with others at the 7-Eleven on Washington Street East.
