Thanks for the link. Just realized that my wife and the station are the same age...within a few weeks. She and I also were on the air there at the same time in the early and mid eighties on "The Rock". In fact, she got me started there and that then turned into a TV job at 33.

OH, THOSE memories of the station. I started there when the station was only 8 years old.
The "stuff" we got away with in the basement of the Science Building.
The questionable programs that we produced and aired.
You would swear that nobody was listening, but walking around campus, at the student union,
You would hear, "Ya know what they did on the campus radio station last night??"
WOW made ya feel reel good. But ya couldn't jump up an say I or we had a part in that.
It was satisfying, but like Charlie Brown said:
It's like pissing yourself in a black suit. No body notices.
THAT WAS A GOOD THING. Don't know the time limits of the statues of limitations
on stuff like that. It was a time to never forget.
Remember the movie from 1978 (?), "FM". That was actually pretty close.
Same characters, just different names.

sometimes the wrong person notices...one time a student DJ played an uncensored cut of John Lennon's "Working Class Hero"...I was listening at the time, and apparently was Dean Sturm, the station manager. That dude was never heard on the station again...but he did become a student teacher at Vinson High when i was going there.
