I just wanted to let you folks know:
1. I needed to get our TV show on more frequently in the Brownsville, PA area.
2. Armstrong Cable did not have their own LA channel in the area and referred me to CUTV in California, PA and the new Fayette County LA channel.
3. Both places I called HAD A LIVE BODY ANSWERING THE PHONE.
4. The FIRST PERSON I talked to at each location KNEW THE ANSWER TO EVERY QUESTION THAT I ASKED.
5. BOTH of them stated: "we're not here to take care of us, we're here to take care of YOU".
6. At CUTV I spoke with the MAN IN CHARGE within seconds. At the Fayette County office I was GUARANTEED a return call tomorrow.
7. The deal at CUTV was finalized within 90 seconds, with everyone happy.
So my question here is:
What happens to people treating customers with dignity, respect and professionalism between doing it for free in college or for a non-profit and the point where money starts to change hands?
I don't know anything about J. R. Wheeler other than he is a professor at California University, he oversees the TV station, AND HE KNOWS THE RIGHT WAY TO DO THINGS AND DOES IT.
A lot of radio and TV people I encounter on a daily basis need to hang out with this guy for a while I pray that some of him rubs off onto them...
