WRSG was down from Tuesday night (not sure when, coming back from a softball game at Cameron) until Tom Taggart replaced the failed STL unit Thursday afternoon. I cannot thank Tom and everyone at Seven Ranges for what they have done-and continue to do for 'Knights Radio.' I'm sure he had a hundred other things to do, but still came to bring us back from the dead. I am honored to know Tom, Sam Yoho, Scott Northcraft and everyone else in the 'family'. That's the kind of atmosphere they create every day. I'm a very occasional part-timer, usually doing a few remotes and mostly sideline reporting, but they have treated me very well, and I feel like a part (albeit a very small part) of a great team.
The trend is for high school stations to turn in their licenses, due to different factors, from lack of funding to student disinterest and back again. However, school districts that can see the 'big picture' and realize what an OTA can do for them should seek out commercial broadcasters. However, I dare say that most will not do anything like what Tom, Bob Eddy (former co-owner of 93R/WXCR) Sam Yoho (current co-owner, and Scott Northcraft (operations manager). The capacity of this board will not allow for the full account. Suffice it to say that I am indebted to them.
And to think that my real involvement with 93R started with a sincere 'thank you' back in 1998.
God bless Tom T, 93R radio/WXCR/V96.9

Like all other xmtr engineers, these guys have a profit motive.
They collect spiders from the transmitter building and
sell them on the contraband spider network for huge profits.

Special this week on petrified mice and ossified snakes.....
Looks like nothing more than leaky filter caps in the 'ole TFT STL. Easily fixed (I hope).

I support WRSG any way I can and encourage you to do so too. They are one of the last student stations to have the community supporting them! It is a community effort and Greg takes the lead!

While I agree with Greg on the honors of the people he spoke of, I do know one thing. There is no one more dedicated to the development of radio than Greg Goodfellow. He has done wonders with the station at Tyler!
I'm just happy to know the Dougger!

You're way too kind, oldiesdude. This here message board has been a significant part of our development. So many of you (and you know who you are) have had a part to play. All we're doing is to make the best radio we can. I STILL believe that there are young people that can get excited over this allegedly antiquated technology IF they have some ownership. Even though most of the music turns them off, some of the students, under the tutelage of J.C. Kimble actually try to do a good job, and oftentimes they let their personalities come through. Yep, some act like they're on a 20-mile forced march with a full backpack, but that's to be expected. When I see the ones that try, I let them know their efforts were appreciated.
