Gazette & Daily Mail going E-edition soon.

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Gazette & Daily Mail going E-edition soon.

Post by CoolBreeze »

In the coming months, as is the case with many newspaper websites across the nation, the Gazette and Daily Mail's sites will be modified to include subscriber-only "premium" content. This refers to content (news articles and more) that readers are unlikely to find anywhere else.

Not a print subscriber, but would still like to get the e-edition? The cost is $19.95 a month. Single-day e-editions can be had for $1 (the Sunday Gazette-Mail single edition is $2).

I think it odd that you must pay the same price for an e-paper as you do a real one. There are much fewer people involved. No trucks, fuel, insurance, salaries, and I'm sure other savings that "could" be passed on to e-subscribers.

The Dominion Post electronic edition costs less than half of the printed version.

I imagine they have to make up the initial cost of paying all of the code and content writers to create and launch it.
