Whenever phrases like "Masonic death sentence." appears in the local newspaper, it usually makes for good reading.

Add "The Masons have asked Webster to prohibit discussion of some rituals in open court..." and you know you're in for a good time. Then there's the issue of the Ohio Masons not talking to the WV Masons (rightfully so it seems) and now you have pure voyeurism .

Webster? Oh yea... the judge who took it upon herself to get involved with the High School football brawl is now involved with the very secretive Masons. Nothing good can come of this.

At the heart of the case is whether or not the dispute belongs in court in the first place.

Private organization or not, cause of action like defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress are within a trial court's jurisdiction.
