If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

WWVA now airing from New Tower

Post by Paradigm »

WWVA began to broadcast from the first of their three new towers. On Air they claim to be back at 50.000 Watts, but the article doesn't list that. Completion of the other two towers should be by year end.

No updated STA in the CDBS, so I wonder if they'll maintain 12.5 kW nighttime into that tower vice the long wire they were using.
Aircheck? You'd make a great board op.

No, it's 25 KW day, 12.5 kw night on the new tower. They are bringing in the crane so they can dismantle and haul away the remains of the old towers next week. This includes the stubs of the remaining two towers now holding up the long wire.

What are the parameters of the new tower?

Height, type , top loading?

Same height as the self-supporters, but this is a guyed tower.
