It appears that "cuprocking" is growing around the world. Some see it as a deterrent to Graffiti, where spray paint costs millions of dollars to remove.
Fence stitching (or decorating chain-link type fences) was invented in 1873 around the time the chain link fence made a big appearance. Little known, it received a resurgence with Australian artist Andy Uprock in 2003 who coined the term 'Cuprocking' using plastic cups often painted to create a new street graffiti.
