ASHLAND
A Raceland woman, Lisa Lara, was arrested and charged with filing a false police report Saturday, said Sgt. Rod Williamson of the Boyd County Sheriff’s Department.
Lara, an employee at an Ashland dentist’s office, called police at about 9:30 a.m. reporting she had been assaulted by two individuals after letting them into the office at about 8:30 p.m. Friday evening. She said the two stabbed her multiple times, tied her up and put her in the bathroom, Williamson said.
He said that, after further questioning, the woman admitted to making the story up and to injuring and tying herself up.
Willaimson said Lara told police she made up the story in order to have an excuse to give to her live-in boyfriend after being out the night before using drugs.
The charge of filing a false police report is a misdemeanor that carries a charge of up to one year in jail and a fine, he said.
(not exactly an intellectual!)
In perhaps not unrelated news, the first item in that link is about a bomb threat to the Ashland WalMart...the news marks the offender as calling himself Brian, and apparently there was no bomb, no store burn, no mall burn, not even a hall burn. Even if WalMart was the target...
