"Ward, I think you were a little hard on the Beaver...

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The Beaver is coming to Charleston.

Actor Jerry Mathers is scheduled to appear at a Charleston Area Medical Center facility on Tuesday to promote diabetes awareness.

Mathers, best known as Beaver Cleaver in the 1950s and 1960s TV sitcom "Leave It to Beaver," was diagnosed with diabetes a decade ago. The event in Kanawha City will focus on patient assistance programs and simple lifestyle changes that can be made to avoid or control the disease.
