Genlock... Where are you?

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Genlock... Where are you?

Post by SHADOW »

WSAZ 3.2, MY Z was the only local station to cover the miners memorial, live from Beckley. If Genlock had been watching he might have said, "why did they even try?" The entire coverage by WSAZ had a loud hum in the audio, along with crosstalk from WSAZ 3.1 regular programming. If that wasn't bad enough, the cameras were very much out of focus, as if the back focus was not calibrated. Not even close to regular analog, way apart from Hi-DEF. It was a tech disaster for, "The Market Leader, Indeed." Get 'em Genlock.

They went "still frame" and lost feed too. I watched on WOWK 13.2.
