I've watched birds for many years, and I've NEVER seen them carry-on like they are doing today. They have been hitting the feeders especially hard for the last 2 weeks, but today is amazing. Normally at this time of year the birds have plenty of food from the summers growing season, but I "suppose" it's possible that the supply is down just like the Mast for all the other animals. That's possible, but I think they know that something is about to happen, and they'd better prepare for it. I believe we're going to have an old fashioned COLD winter for a change.
