Here's the deal: MSNBC launched it's HD feed back in June, and I've been waiting for Comcast (the same people that moved MSNBC to Digital Starter and then Classic last year to much controversy since Faux and CNN were (and are) still on Expanded Basic) to add it (sent a question to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette with no answer from Comcast and then during an office call to them. No one knows the ETA). I think Dish has it now. I don't know about DirecTV.
But it's now November, and Comcast rolled out the latest batch of HD channels (on the 800's, no less. They REALLY need to do a major channel change since organization of them is a complete MESS now). None of them are MSNBC, and I DVR Countdown every night and I'm waiting for them to add it so I can switch it to the HD feed (since I am spoiled on HD now). I heard Comcast has it in some markets, but nothing locally yet (and they aren't the only cable company taking their grand old time with adding this channel). There is some fear that this is another conspiracy (since Comcast is known for being conservative and MSNBC has clearly had a more progressive slant in prime time), but they still haven't added G4 HD yet, either (and G4 is Comcast owned. Comcast owned channels, such as Versus, seem to be favored over anything else on their systems), so I don't know if the conspiracy theory holds water just yet.
Wondering if anyone else is now getting the channel (regardless if you agree with the political stance of the network)?

MSNBC HD is now on most of the major cable systems in Columbus (Insight, WOW, Time-Warner, AT&T)

Bad news - So few people are now watching MSNBC, they've decided to quit broadcasting it in HD and go to more of a Community Theatre format, where the viewer has to show up in person in a suburb of Winston-Salem.

I'm hoping that DirecTV gets the MSNBC HD channel soon. That and ESPN U HD.

I have not seen it on Comcast or Verizon in southeastern PA. Although, CNBC HD on Verizon is enough for me say so long to Comcast (which only carries CNN HD.)
