The unemployment office folk had better get the forms ready. Longtime WOWK anchor Rick Dayton is joining their ever growing list of the unemployed. Bray Carey and his Band of Brothers chose not to renew Dayton's soon to expire contract, even for another year.

Word is that the WV Media Bloodletting is not yet complete as more will go and few will be replaced. Hang on tight and call U-Haul for prices.

What a wonderful businessman Bray is: Run a media company into the ground with inept management decisions, then punish the employees and sacrifice the quality for viewers all at once. And from what I hear, he's got some plans for taking WVMH even further back in time.

What the hell are they doing? It's not like they have anyone to replace him...Jack Kane is great but maybe a little pasthis prime and he's in Charleston, and what quality anchor do they can lure onto that sinking ship?

It's nothing personal, it's business.
Even in a good economy, 13 is a loser.
I look for Bray to consolidate his stations.
Call it WV news and hope to survive.
Dayton will find another job like McGeehe did.
No replacement, let Sandra fly alone.

All hubbed news isn't the rumor I'm hearing right now. I don't want to give too much away without more confirmation, but you know the old saying, "There's strength in numbers"? Well...I hear they're considering the opposite in a very important position.
