This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.
I'm looking for a good, cheap, reliable, fast, cheap, and cheap webhosting service for my site. Did I mention cheap?
What I'm looking for is a webhost for my blog. What's on my blog? Words, pictures, and videos...that's it. The videos wouldn't be that long and and the images aren't huge. I guess I'm just looking for a host that has unlimited space for my stupidity.
I've checked out Dreamhost and Bluehost, while they do have impressive features...it's just too much for something simple. I've also looked into free webhosting. But I've read there are alot of drawbacks. Help!
my advice would be a site like blogspot for text/pictures, and then make an account with youtube and embed your video's off their site... if you're trying to save money.. another option depending on your internet connection would be to buy a used machine and host it out of your house.

Wordpress for free and simple blogging. www.lonex.com for web hosting.
or maybe Lester could cut you a deal on hosting, if he still does such things ...
mine is on http://www.me.com with the domain name through godaddy. I'm happy with it. The 60 day free trial is a good enough reason to get yourself an iphone.
Yahoo WebHosting has a sale going on right now. First 3 months are $7.46 per month for those three months and $9.95 a month for the next 9 after that. They have it setup with a yearly renewal.
Dont forget that most every Internet Provider gives you free webspace as part of your service. I used mine for years before purchasing several Domains.

Has anybody here tried SquareSpace to see if it is worth all the hullabaloo that I am hearing on the web?
It looks to be rather pricey.
edit: I am now killing my hosting account for KYJeepster.com. Backing up the data is taking more time than expected. I should have cgarison.com up in the next month.

The first step in a successful revolution is to defeat all competing revolutionaries.
After much thought (a few seconds) I've decided to go with Dreamhost. They had a special for webhosting for like...$9.24 for a YEAR. Couldn't pass it up.
