WKKX Moving Forward

I really miss GK and TJ. Just not the same listening to the radio and not hearing them.

WKKX niche was having a moderate/liberal side of radio on AM. With GK and TJ gone what is left at WKKX is registered republicans and and Wheeling Central/private school ass kissers which is pretty much the same thing.

Maybe moves are not done at WKKX, but I thought they dropped the ball not bringing in Dimitri to do the 3-6 show and moving SN back to 12-3. They did get Bill DeFabio, and he would be perfect to be placed in the 10-12 slot affectionately know to all as the Bitchcast. How can a show that bad stay on the air unless it's because no one gets fired at WKKX. It's like a Union there.

Anyone happen to know why Teddy the Taint was let go? Really thought he made the morning show fun to listen to until he left. How can you go from Teddy to Biff?

I hope changes happen I find myself turning off WKKX for ESPN radio more and more and I have a feeling I am not the only one.

I agree with missing Tod and George. Those are very tough shoes to fill. I also agree that Dimitri would have been a perfect fit, and a great comback. I'm sure the powers that be at WKKX have their reasons for the choices that were made. Give it a chance. Things typically get better with time.

You have to remember that WKKX tragically lost close to half its staff in just over a week...how could you replace legends and expect their shoes to be filled instantly. WKKX is a radio family and everyone there is very close. Their deaths were hard for everyone.
It is going to take time.

WVLY the only local station I've ever heard of who's signal does not even come clost to reaching the stations studio.... or even town the studio is in. Now that is a sad little station.

I've mentioned this to Howard a number of times. During the day the signal is fine, especially heading out towards St. Clairsville and even Barnesville. However from 7-8am and close to sundown it's horrible, I can't even hear it in Martins Ferry or even coming across the Island heading to the office every morning. Sad indeed...
