K-Rock in NYC flipping formats

There are multiple reports out there that CBS Radio is about to flip WXRK/New York from K-Rock to CHR as "92.3 Now" with the flip to happen Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET. This matches what Adam Carolla hinted to recently that a job out east (presumably at WXRK) fell through because CBS Radio was going to make a change there. Apparently this means Opie & Anthony are out from there, though they still have Sirius/XM and their Virus channel.

I'm not sure what this means for WROX in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, the only other terrestrial station clearing O&A (on tape delay in middays 10-2 following Mancow).

Called Z-100 out by name. I love stuff like that...

The country's two largest markets have an all-out CHR war now.

Hopefully it will spread. I want to start one somewhere.
