Except for Armstrong, I've never heard of any of these systems.

1. Armstrong Cable - South Point, OH; Greenup KY, Wayne, WV, Hamlin & W. Hamlin, WV. - about 20,000 subs.

2. Intermountain Communications - Also known as Gearheart Cable - Hurley, KY; Matewan, WV - about 4500 subs

3. Lycom Cable - Louisa KY and Martin County, KY; Fallsburg, KY - about 7,000 subs

4. Rapid Cable: Note that Rapid has sold their systems in Drennen, Clay, Craigsville and Summersville (they actually sold ALL of their WV systems to Shentel). They also cover parts of Lincoln County. About 4000 subs.

Note, all of these areas are easily serviceable by OTA-DTV except for the most rural parts of Martin County and Hamlin/W. Hamlin.

This is the 3rd time I have seen this come up in the last 15 years.

The interesting part of Intermountain Cable is that the residents in that area would more than like prefer to get the Lexington affiliates than the Charleston/Huntington affiliates.
The first step in a successful revolution is to defeat all competing revolutionaries.

You are absolutely correct. They can pull Lexington stations OTA... they don't care about WSAZ.
