Wouldn't a family member (at home) or coworker (at work of course) throw out your food, thinking it was moldy or rotten?

When I worked at Clear Channel, there was a Cam's Ham sandwich in the mini-fridge for months... even years, perhaps. It may still be there. I can't believe someone allowed a perfectly good Cam's Ham sandwich to waste away.
