I've always thought the solution to the problems of the people of the state would be to give the people the total of their year's worth of gubmint checks in one lump sum, saying, "That's it's....now, move!"

Can't do that, though, I suppose.....professional politicians no longer representing people aren't politicians for long.....

It would be interesting to see how fast they could spend every last cent on beer, cigarettes, TVs and oxycontin. That they wouldn't ever be receiving another dime wouldn't faze them, I suspect.

Even teaching them to fish won't make a bit of difference if their mindset is to immediately spend every dime they get. Go to any Wal-Mart on the first of the month to witness this phenomenon, if you're not knocked down by screaming kids and rattling carts, first.

Sadly, the system is so far gone that allowing the state implode on itself is the only way things will get fixed... That will happen eventually if all the tax revenue suppliers (i.e. businesses and working people) keep moving out.

Ironically, the only way to keep things going as they are may be to start importing as many Mexican "undocumented workers" as possible into WV. Who knows? Maybe Regional Mexican will one day be a viable format somewhere in WV...
