Borg area stations for sale

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Sadly, they will be so over-valued that it would be near impossible to make a profit with them.

Come on, spill it! I suspect WVHU as well. Anything else I can't guess.

Much bigger calls than that.
Portfolios of these stations are being circulated to potential buyers.
It's ironic to see such high asking-prices from the group that single-handledly devalued stations in the U.S.
Kindred is putting an FM to one of their towers (licensed by 8.18)...and is probably buying another FM this week.
One set of Tri-State calls has a W and a B in it and the second FM has at least a W.

(Interpret from that what you will...that's all I'm sayin').

Does he care?

And as I added my new box (this one named "spare parts" to describe how I put it together) to the cluster of computers in my home office, I thought about his old store in the Russell Hills shopping center.

I had no idea that Russell "Thrill" Hill had a shopping plaza named after him...hmmm. So, Cam, care to release any more letters to those heritage calls? WBVB? A return of Bubba, mabye?

Oh, no.
This is the fun part.
To sit back and watch the thread evolve into "Bubba's Comin'".

It won't be WKEE or WTCR. That would be stupid. That means B96 and WAMX. It terms of cluster strength that would be pretty stupid too.

I would vote that the other station would be WAMX-FM because it could be once again paired with weak-ass WBKS-FM like it was years ago with the Fox.

And to play devil's advocate just because I can. :P

Has anyone seen asking prices for the stations?

It depends on whether or not Paul Swann is included in the deal.

hahahahahahahahahahaha......

Remember, that deal began prior to the subprime lending market meltdown. By the time the Clear Channel deal was finalized, the truth about assets that are not legitimate (like $38 Billion of goodwill on Wachovia's books) was making big news and banks had to be careful what deals they financed.

Look's like this is the FM Cameron is talking about going up on a Kindred tower:

Granted:
WV BMPFT-20080805ABI W253BB 144652 FIFTH AVENUE BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. Mod of CP E 98.5 MHZ HUNTINGTON, WV

(WRVC translator going into Huntington, note the "B" in the call!)
