I've been watching the progress of "The Singing Revolution" since it's inception. It will not likely play here, although I tried to get it entered into the "Foreign Film Festival" held in Charleston. I just returned from my 5th trip to Estonia last week, and purchased a PAL copy. I brought it home and played it on my computer. (all the time Windows warning me that I could only watch a PAL DVD twice.. anymore (after resetting it to the American standard) and my Windows Media Player would self destruct and never work again even if I attempted to reload it).

Estonia brought us (among other things, Hotmail, Skype, Kazza) many programs that we all use. They are a country the size and almost population of WV. Their people are young however, compared to WV. Right now, like all of us, they are suffering from high prices and inflation, which is why they're not on the Euro yet. But you have to love a country willing to do things that have never been done before, like the first Flat Tax, and voting on line from the comfort of your home.

After the 50 odd horrid years spent under the Communist heel (Estonia hated the Soviets) I wish them nothing but luck.
