CBS to Acquire CNet

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Looks like this is not the same bubble as 8 years ago when gnat sized AOL ate the elephant Time Warner.

Is this just the web-sites or does it include the cable channel too?

The whole kit/kaboodle. All websites and subsidiary sites like Crave. This will also hand over to them CNet studios in NY and SF where podcast and live streaming video is produced. Don Reisinger who is a CBS/WCBS 2 correspondent and free lances with CNet is going to be thrilled with the deal.

I wonder what CBS is going to do with the download.com properties.
