Sorry, I have to agree with TPDJ. Opening up the board, even a section of the board, to political and other banter will undoubtedly cause animosity to be carried over to the other forums. We have a good dysfunctional family here. Let's not ruin it.

No need to apologize... When the board was upgraded, we (the mods/admins) discussed the return of VOT and decided against it. I realize there is a certain appeal to having it here but, as was mentioned previously, there are plenty of other great places to get your politics on without damaging or destroying the relationships (radio or otherwise) that are already established here.

I always assumed that VOT was a de facto political forum. But pretty much anything was discussed there.

I was suggesting that it could be better this time if it was more tightly moderated and not allowed to devolve into shouting matches and copy and paste contests. That's all.

But I can easily understand it not being here. Personally, I have no problem compartmentalizing. But I can see where it could be a problem.
