This board has gone to hell....and it's not all my fault.

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Post by Kitesgot »

Is it just me, or has this board just gone to hell in the past few months?

Generally, it really gets going in the Winter, but this winter has been nearly dead.

Oh sure, a big fight with Wheeling people, Arp's much-needed grammar issues, and Dave in the Morning keep us up to date on all things Southern, but hell------what has happened? Is there no more dirt to dish in broadcasting?

I mean, The WVBA had it's spring meeting this weekend. Nobody knows anything embarrasing that happened? Nobody was found in a drunken heap in an elevator?

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US? WHAT?!?!!!? WHY HAS IT COME TO THIS?

If this continues----when good weather, and lots of remotes come around and we're mowing lawns, going boating, playing softball, and what-not, there won't be any reason to check this board at all this summer.

I hate to say this, but I'd be happy right now to see the idiots at that little Wheeling talker start spouting off again concerning their radio excellence.

This sucks.

OK.
WSAZ is automating production with a parkervision relative.
Several people will lose their jobs.
Some Charleston things will move to Huntington.
All Charleston things will be directed and controlled in Huntington.
News will be in HD.
Robots galore.
Jessica will still not wear that tight sweater.
And the glasses.

Personally; I blame Schaffer for all of this.

('cause, when in doubt, blame Schaffer!)

What? Am I missing something here? I ask that seriously because maybe I am missing it, but if broadcast people are losing their jobs - as many of us already have - why the sarcasm?

More explanation in lieu of cute bunny cartoons would be helpful.

Erin and I got really drunk at the WVBA's this weekend.

Other than that....well, I guess we all suck.

Some people have a deep, abiding respect for the natural beauty that was once the WV Radio and TV Message Board.

...and some people don't.

Huh? Do you mean "bunnies?"

I didn't want to do it. I was forced.
