WVU running back Steve Slaton going pro

This counters the earlier reports that said Steve Slaton was going to be returning to WVU for his senior season.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia running back Steve Slaton is skipping his senior season to enter the NFL Draft.

"I called the NFL about two weeks ago, and they told me that I was assessed as a second-round selection," Slaton said Sunday in a joint statement with new Mountaineers coach Bill Stewart.

That is a good idea. His stock has been dropping especially since Noel Divine came along.

He better get while the getting is good.

This has the chance to be the best NFL running back class of all time if even just some of these guys have good/great careers. The depth in it is ridiculous.
