An 8 Hour Trip With Only FM For Company

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

An 8 Hour Trip With Only FM For Company

Post by Big Media »

Good read.

Excerpt

Have you turned on the radio recently? Me either. I just never listen to the thing. My mom is addicted to NPR, but I prefer to read my news. And of course, it goes without saying that there is no good music on the airwaves. I’m told that at one point in American history, FM radio was a source for cultural exploration. When FM was first invented, AM radio broadcasters simply duplicated their programming on FM, hoping to draw in more listeners.

Had he considered trying AM next time?

I can't stand watching videos of stories on line. If I wanted to watch video on line, I'd turn on the T.V. And they don't bother to tell you it's video, they just let you click on it.

Fuckers. Just like the asshole who text-messaged me a "stock tip" like he was my best friend.
