WVU Loses

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Well, there was so many, "We's", and "We're Gonna", and "Good Job Guys", in the broadcast, I thought they were going to utilize some of the booth crew in 3rd-and-long situations.

P.S. Does that ref still get his check even though WVU lost? He tried his best for them... I think they should give the guy a break.

Ohio State was in reverse/mule gear.
Backs into National Champeenship game with Kansas or Georgia or somebody. Go Buckeyes.

The good news is we don't have to waste valuable board space hearing WVU fans whine about losing the national championship game.
The bad news is we'll now have to waste valuable board space hearing OSU fans whine about losing the national championship game, again.

In all honesty, I was hoping WVU would lose because I do not believe they belong in the title game....but I didn't think it would actually happen.

DANG! That WVU turnover at the start of the 3rd quarter really made my mind up that this game was OVER.

I wish them well in whatever bowl they go to, but I have to admit I was laughing my ass of last night.

A lot of the overconfident WVU fans may have purchased tickets to the national Championship game and reserved hotel rooms too. Maybe that will turn out very well if they have to get Xmas gifts for family in Columbus.

This game brought back flashbacks of the Don Neilen days.

Ohio State National Championships in football:

1942
1954
1957
1961
1968
1970
2002

You're right Bob. They've never won even ONE!

Why hasn't ESPN contacted you to host Sportscenter? I mean, your extensive football knowledge would be an asset to a network clearly lacking in that area. And like ESPN, your love for the SEC would no doubt put you as the 5th man...or "go to guy" on College Gameday replacing that one guy...Desmond Howard, who clearly has never played a down of football or won a trophy in his life.

The world has Chris Berman, the West Virginia Radio and Television Message Board has Bob Campbell...and we shouldn't even be THAT lucky!

I see Lee still hasn't gotten over last year's mauling by Florida. It's okay, the replay is coming up in January. LSU will play the role of Florida.

If you have ESPN Classic, you'll probably be able to see it before then.....

The fun part of the WVU Bowl-Game is the ESPN blackout to be imposed on WVHU.

:)

(NCAA says if a station is more than 100 miles from home school - tough luck).

That way, if the game goes late, they can drop power anyway.

WVU vs. Oklahoma will be on WRVC, though. Mark your calendars.

Oh yeah, one other OSU fact.

OSU vs. SEC in Bowl games; SEC 8- OSU 0

At least they're not playing LSU in New Or....oh....sorry.

Those buckeyes won't have a clue how to handle a thumpin' in front of all them coonasses (slang for cajuns; usually derogatory in nature and part of every day language in Houston, TX.)

I thought WVU didn't lose. Don't they only have "near wins"?
