I wish I had a time machine...

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

great topic...

if you had a time machine, top 3 places/events/times in the past you'd take it to... or future?

i'd have loved to have gone to woodstock.

i'd spend some time with our founding fathers

and the last one is a toss up for me... be present at the discovery of fire, or spend some time with Jesus and see what all the fuss is about. :)
I'm not an idiot, but I play one on the radio.

I would go to the bank, borrow a bunch of money and go back and buy a lot of Microsoft stock and Exxon stock at the beginning of those companies history. A talk with Moses and Jesus would also be a neat thing but there may be a language barrier. Maybe Ann-Margaret at her prime.

Knowing my luck, I'd just contract whooping cough or bubonic plague or sumthin, and die.

I'd go back to August, 2004, force myself to be comfortable with a "Dutch Auction" of this stock with the symbol "GOOG," and plow whatever I had into it. (I seem to recall it going out at something like 64 or 85 or something....it hit the actual market at 106, fell to 100, and closed today just shy of 500.)

And I'd go back to 9th grade and ask out that girl I had a serious crush on. (Knowing what I know now about the fairer sex, I'm about 99% sure she was waiting on me to and would have said, "yes." I still look for ladies just like her.)

1. Go back to the Powerball drawing just before Jack Whitaker's big payoff along with the winning numbers from the Powerball website.

2. Be born on the planet Krypton to parents Jor-el and Lara.

3. Prevent George Herbert Walker Bush from meeting and marrying Barbara and having children.

Ann-Margaret at her prime
Nice! Before Elvis got her!

Hmm.... like everyone else, that wants money, I'd like to go back to 1969 and make my dad drop every penny he had on the Jets in Super Bowl III!

Would like to go pack to 1960-61 and see "TheRat Pack" at the Sands in vegas!

Then I'd go to the future, lets say 75 years, and see how F'd up the world is then.

I would like to go back in time to re-examine the whole "radio...yeah that will be fun and I'll make lots of money and get laid a lot" line of thinking.

LMAO! Yea, really. I'd go back to my school days, shake my pre-pubescent self and yell "LEARN A BLOODY SKILL!" into his stupid face.

I'd take a DVD recorder back with me to the 60s and 70s and record all the important tv shows that the BBC junked (Dr Who, FTW!)

Then I'd go back to the early 90s and apologise to a few people.

Hmmm...,

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was looking for the rest of the line from that old England Dan & John Ford Coley tune, "It's Sad to Belong." If that had been the case I'd say:

I could make myself go back until the day I was born...

Given that such is not the case, however, I suppose I'd like to have been around just after the Big Bang to see what the cosmos looked like in the beginning (maybe I could have gotten a copy of the owner's manual while there). Then I'd like to fast-forward to see what happens when the play is done. Somewhere in between, I'd like to take any given arbitrary time to have a meeting with all the deities (not so much a debate, but more a panel discussion) just to hear what they really had to say...and why.
