Sandy Affects Nielsen Ratings In WV

Hurricane Sandy and the subsequent snow storm that swept the Northeast last month caused significant disruption in data collection for November sweeps. As a result, Nielsen has not yet issued audience numbers for 37 television markets.

Nielsen’s Measurement Science department has been conducting validation tests "to determine whether each market had sufficient diary sample and proper representation of sub-geographies within the market."
Nine markets remain on hold.
