NBC Sports Radio network shows now on WCMI-AM

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

NBC Sports Radio network shows now on WCMI-AM

Post by EZ103.3FM »

I happened to turn by WCMI-AM the other evening. I heard veteran ESPN broadcaster John Stashower so I assumed it was ESPN Radio. Then I heard him mention the Eric Kuselias Show a few times and go to an NBC Sports Radio sports update and I realized it was NBC Sports Radio, not ESPN Radio.

WCMI's website doesn't say anything but I found their twitter account had some tweets from September about the premiere of the Eric Kuselias Show. The twitter account is still named @ESPN1340WCMI.

It looks like WCMI is carrying the Dan Schwartzman Show (1 AM-5 AM Tues-Sat), the Eric Kuselias Show (7 PM-10 PM Monday-Friday) and Amani & Eytan with Amani Toomer and Eyton Shander (10 PM-1 AM Monday-Friday) from NBC Sports Radio.

I think WCMI is still carrying Mike & MIke (6 AM-10AM), The Herd with Colin Cowherd (10 AM-1 PM), SVP & Russillo with Scott Van Pelt and Ryan Russillo from 1 PM - 4 PM and Coach & Company with Jonathan Coachman from 4 PM - 7 PM. I'm not sure what's on between 5 and 6 AM - probably the final hour of ESPN Radio's SportsCenter AllNight. I'm also not sure if any NBC Sports Radio programs are carried on WCMI on the weekend.

Dan Patrick's radio show is now on the new NBC Sports cable channel, but not on NBC Sports Radio.

The wikipedia page for NBC Sports Radio http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBC_Sports_Radio says 'NBC Sports Radio is a sports radio network in the United States. Owned by NBC Sports Group and distributed by Dial Global, the network debuted on September 4, 2012. Dial Global is the corporate successor to the remains of the original NBC Radio Network that was dissolved in the 1980s.'

On the station list on the NBC Sports website, WCMI and WRVC (which carries some sports updates from NBC Sports Radio) are both listed as Charleston WV stations.
