Huntington - Charleston - Morgantown airchecks
My sick aircheck seeking continues:
Found this 'en:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CL1ZWmPl ... re=related
This time, including stuff from 94 WAMX, Burk Allen on WKEE, Super 102 and Loray Robinson on WVAQ -- the video continues with Roanoke, Richmond and more.
I'm beginning to think 94 WAMX airchecks almost don't exist.
Anyone have anything else cool to share?

Re: Huntington - Charleston - Morgantown airchecks
Hey Clay J.D.--
Sounds like Scott Brady saying "Gary's next" at the beginning of this aircheck, before the Burke Allen (who I brought to KEE from Logan) break. That was cool, since I would have been the Gary mentioned.
I wish I had old airchecks from my 70s days at 94AMX, super CMI, even doing news at WTCR, or any airchecks from the 70s or 80s on KEE...but I don't. I do have, locked away in the computer here, a memorial day 2000 (and the day after) 7 minute aircheck of myself, along with checks of me in March 2009, before I was unceremoniously (sp?) let go. I don't want to erase or delete them (for posterity's sake...it's my only remembrance of being on the air), and would love to share them if there's something that can be done with them. E-mail me at garytvfan@aol.com if you'd like me to send them along to you, or if you'd like to post them somewhere. I have no idea what to do with them.
Many thanks--

I have a bunch of old Bob and Josh material from Super 102 but it's all on cassette. One day I'll take the time to transfer it and maybe upload the infamous "Vibrator" bit.

I have a digitized tape from the 70's that begins with a VERY short aircheck of you on WWHY, plugging the "HY B&S Wrecking Service Weather Eye"...possibly during Penthouse Serenade!
Jerry Crabtree was kind enough to digitize several of my old aircheck tapes a while back (the few i could find on reel...i had saved most of them on 8 track cartridges, and they're basically useless now). You are on several spots and dropins, both at CMI and WWHY. I'll have them with me when you contact me to sell you life insurance! (kidding!!!!...and at the same time....)

If i'm not mistaken, Loray Robinson was engaged to Sean Anderson, who worked with me at Mountainet in 1983. Did she go on from WVAQ to Mutual News....or is that someone else i'm thinking of?Clay JD Walker wrote:My sick aircheck seeking continues:

Re: Huntington - Charleston - Morgantown airchecks
Loray is at Magic in Clarksburg...streamed her a while back and she's still smooth as ever. Gary, any you have to share would be awesome...and, as my true inner geek comes out, if anyone has any jingle packages the would like to share, that would be neat. I have a master from WTCR from around 71, and the 'lite rock and the classics' from WRVC. I believe I have the Sunny 92.7 package as well...it's a sick obsession of mine

J.D.
I am a former WTCR-guy (Cannonsburg, Catlettsburg, and Huntington). I have a number of 'checks you might be interested in (everybody from Ken Aubdle to Chris Robbins, and more). Send a message and we can swap copies if you are interested.
