Baby, if you've ever wondered...

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Baby, if you've ever wondered...

Post by David Paleg »

From Mike Fitzgerald's Facebook page:

OK, here is the skinny... I've accepted a job offer in Des Moines Iowa (Radio Market #72) to program a Classic Rock station (Which I apparently was not qualified to do in radio market #261). I'll also be programming a Country station and pulling an air shift on one of the two stations... They flew me out last week to finalize the deal, and I officially start on 12/1 so I'll be flying out again to get things started. Once I am situated I will let everyone know what the website is so that you may listen, if you so desire. I'll miss WV, but the kids do enjoy eating. Thanks for all of your support and kindness during the 7 months I've been off the radio. It's good to be getting back to work behind a microphone where I belong! God Bless all of you, and keep all my brothers and sisters that have been fired from radio in your thoughts and prayers! I've got to wash my underwear now and get packing. Mike Fitz

He was on morning drive at 107.3 WKAZ-FM for about three years, then switched places with Bill Shahan of 96.1The Wolf, then put in afternoon drive on WKAZ-FM. West Virginia Radio Corp dropped both Mike Fitzgerald and Bill Shahan a few months ago.
