Huntington woman appears on 'Jeopardy!'

A Huntington resident had her shot at winning thousands of dollars Tuesday night on America's favorite quiz show.
Mary Redling, a 50-year-old operations manager, appeared on "Jeopardy!" The recorded program aired at 7:30 p.m. on WSAZ.
Redling got off to a slow start. After the first round, she was in third place with $2,600. But she came storming back in the Double Jeopardy round by answering 14 questions correctly, catapulting her into first place at one point late in the round.
Redling entered the Final Jeopardy round in second place with $15,400 and trailing the leader by $2,400.
The Final Jeopardy category was "Toys" and the clue was, "Invented in 1943, this toy was flung over tree branches by soldiers in Vietnam and used as a makeshift radio antenna."
The correct answer was "Slinky," but Redling's answer was "boomerang." She lost $10,000, dropping her to third place. The other two competitors answered the question correctly.
