CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A Kanawha County man has pleaded guilty to shocking a woman with a cattle prod during an assault at a video lottery parlor.
Thirty-year-old Kenneth S. Samples of Elkview pleaded guilty in Kanawha County Circuit Court to assault during the commission of a felony and failure to register as a sex offender.
The Charleston Daily Mail reports Samples faces up to 15 years in prison.
Samples told a judge he attacked the woman Feb. 10 at the business in Jefferson. Police say Samples entered the business at closing time, grabbed the woman from behind and placed the prod on her neck.
