Maybe 50% elsewhere. Reminds one of an MLB game. Big Bill turning in grave at

That slippery slope began when Bill France Jr. discovered that he could successfully rig auto races at inaugural Brick Yard 400.

Is this a product of Nascar's popularity waning or a product of the economy in that more people can't or won't spend the money on tickets, hotel, and gas to attend a race these days?

I would say it is a combination of both, Jay. Plus, the cars they are driving are too cookie-cutter. They don't race...they just drive.
