Google gives up... removing all videos

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Google gives up... removing all videos

Post by CoolBreeze »

Google sent an announcement to everyone who has a video on Google Video that it is no longer supporting this feature. (lack of interest and YouTube IMHO) They ARE giving everyone the chance to download their videos so as to save or upload to YouTube.

Did not Google acquire YouTube?

I know that there was some type of deal made betwixt the two...

Yes. Google owns YouTube, they have since 2006. IIRC, the ability to upload to Google Video was disabled quite awhile back.
