And after King Kent Carper blustered on the radio today about how ready they were to take calls no matter what happened during the storm. If they charge us any MORE taxes for the stupid 911 center, we'd be better off with walkie talkies.
See... this "arrangement" was supposed to save the taxpayers money, but instead, it's cost us twice as much as it did when every city had it's own center.
In the meantime, the center is only as good apparently, as the lines running to it.
