Also: "I got a degree in psychology from Illinois College. Aptitude tests said I would be good at psychology. I found that psychology was a wonderful subject where you could eat pizza and drink a lot of beer and still pass.

On a Yahoo! blog about the guy who recommended that high school seniors skip college altogether, I basically stated the same thing: if you have a talent/skill you don't need college. Save your parents some money. Get out there and do what you were designed to do earlier. Avoid having to go through what other people think you should go through in order to do what you know you are supposed to do.

All I got out of 3.5 years of college was:

1. Making the greatest parody TV commercial of all-time ("Tubby Blanston's Greatest Hits" with Pat Taylor, Mark Thompson and Bob Tinnell)

2. Learning that you were supposed to watch the splice in the tape inside the cartridge go by the record head before you start recording

3. Meeting Jim Stallings

Seeing as how the tape of the commercial has long since been erased and that carts are no longer in use, I guess I went to college to meet Jim Stallings.

Plus there were these dehydrated onions on the lunch counter at The Nickel. Delicious...
