WKRP--All Of It--MINE!

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Seeing as how I do not have any other TV than what comes off my newly installed antenna and my DVD player, I do a lot of "marathoning" of shows. I have run through almost all of The Three Stooges shorts, I just got every episode of "The Amos 'n' Andy Show" RESTORED versions (still not great quality, but definitely improved for $29.99!), and am planning on doing "The Monkees". I would love to have the cash to lay out for some SCTV and "Law And Order"...

It was said on this board some time ago that the "real" music in WKRP was removed to keep from paying for it.
Bummer.

Age old question: Jennifer or Bailey?

Don't want to think about that. I bet Mike is glad he left the group.

One thing I did find odd about the show, although I do understand the show was shot on a next to nothing budget, is how the staff always seem to hang out together outside the station. Of all my well over 20 or so co-workers only TWO have ever been to my house, and no Nunley isn't one of them, since my wife tends to have that odd laugh in her voice whenever his name is mentioned.

Early in my career I did hang out a lot with staff, but I was 22 and lived in a closet and so did everyone else.
Oh BTW--Bailey by a landslide!

As for the music-it has been replaced, but it's really not much of an issue to me since the show wasn't really music intensive anyway. I began tonight with the Turkey episode, and am on to Transmitter Bomb.

Got a great deal on these too. All shows--39.99

I liked Bailey also - Jennifer was too high-maintenance even if she supposedly was from WV.

Jan Smithers was married to James Brolin at that time, I believe....
