I've never seen local news stations use the full body shot including feet for the weather. It actually doesn't look too bad.

i think this may be "the next big thing" in TV news. it's very similar to the way Jodi Applegate anchors the 10:00 news on WPIX in New York. Standing, with her entire body, head to toe, in front of a green screen, at least for the opening shot and some others.

Most unusual weather shot I ever saw was a forecaster in a wheelchair. The same setup was used showing him using the graphics across a top to bottom screen with a large "pointer" device. This was back in the 80s in the Carolinas.

What did he do, describe the snow as being "wheel high"?
