FOX 2 in Detroit reports that the University of Michigan has fired head football coach Rich Rodriguez.

It's been stated on ESPN that Jim Harbaugh won't go to Michigan to coach. Allegedly, if he is still going to coach in college, he'll stay at Stanford. As many ex-college coaches discover, the pro game is an altogether different animal. Even so, the speculation on Harbaugh going to San Francisco, Denver or Miami plays on.

It's also been interesting how Michigan is somewhat backpedaling from the 'firing,' as if it's not a done deal. As has been stated elsewhere, coaches jumping ship from Motown to Ann Arbor don't seem to take their magic with them.

The Big We Can't Count (10 really 11, soon to be 12) has gone down in flames in bowl games so far... Mostly to the VASTLY superior SEC.

As it's looking now Ohio State (who plays no one outside their pathetic conference) is beating Arkansas... If this holds out, it will probably be the first Big 10 win over the SEC (meaningless since this isn't for a championship) in a decade. Arkansas wasn't even the 2nd best SEC team... Auburn will still win the Mythical National Championship... Which the Big We Can't Count has in recent years NEVER won over a SEC school...

And again today, RichRod was reportedly fired at Michigan.
Maybe it will stick this time.
